GoBG Transit:
Rules for Riding

This is a list of essential rules, tips, and information that keeps GoBG Transit busses safe, efficient, and a great experience for all riders.

Bus fares
  • Please have correct fare or a pass ready when boarding the bus.
  • Drivers do not make change.
  • Fares are exact change or passes only.
Passenger assistance
  • Drivers can provide limited assistance to riders when loading wheelchairs and on lifts.
  • To access TTY services for hearing or speech disabilities, call 711.
service cancellation
  • If severe weather causes us to cancel service for any portion of the service day, we will notify the public thru radio and television announcements and thru AlertSense.
  • Driver has the right to refuse service or suspend service for safety concerns related to weather or other safety and health factors.
  • Animals other than Guide or Assist must be in an approved carrier that fits under a bus seat.
Conduct & carry on items
  • Passenger may bring on board only the number of items they can carry and keep secure in one trip.
  • Items & conduct that are prohibited on our buses per police ordinate include:
    ‍Weapons, hazardous materials, explosives and dangerous liquids, solicitation of goods or services, vaping, use of tobacco products and illegal substances, open containers of alcohol, offensive conduct & profanity, phones/devices on speaker -mode, animals without carriers, urination, defecation, & external bodily fluids.
AMERICANS with Disabilities act - SERVICE
  • To qualify for specialized Americans with Disabilities (ADA) service, you must complete an application and an in-person interview with a member of our Paratransit Transit Services staff.  Call 270-393-3695 to schedule an appointment.
  • GoBG Transit will make reasonable modifications as needed to meet riders’ needs and comply with FTA Guidelines. Click here for a Reasonable Modification Form.
